The Haemophilia Treatment Centre physician chooses which product is best for each patient. Please follow recommendations. Plasma-derived FIX concentrates are treated with solvent/detergent to inactivate viruses. -- Prothrombin complex concentrates (PCC) also contains factors II, VII and X. -- Specific FIX concentrates contain only FIX. NB: thrombosis or disseminated intravascular coagulation may occur with frequent or large doses of PCC. |
